I can't believe that this place has been here the whole time I've been in Brooklyn and I never tried it sooner! All the bento boxes I've been missing...I came here twice with my parents over the past 5 days. We each ordered the lunch special and there was TONS of food. The lunch specials cost $8.50 and each comes with miso soup, salad, a 6 piece california roll, and rice. There are quite a few options--I ordered the teriyaki beef the first time and the tonkatsu the second time. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The beef was cooked to order, the tonkatsu breading was satisfactorily crispy, and the pork itself was not tough or anything. The meal also came with hot tea. I also sampled my parents' tempura both times and it was quite good. The service is excellent.Delivery is available through seamless or by calling the restaurant directly (if you call directly, there is a $10 minimum, but on the take-out menu they charge $1 for the rice, so ordering the bento box lunch special Mon-Fri will put you just over $10 when they add in the tax). This place is a great find!

Service was top notch . Best sushi and sashimi - one of the finest in NY - certainly the best Brooklyn has to offer!

Chirashi was excellent!

Frankly I'm really surprised by the 4.5 star average. Ordered take out one night after a long day of errands. The vegetable noodle soup was pretty disappointing- I may as well have just dropped some instant ramen into a pot of boiling water with some frozen carrots and cabbage. The teriyaki tofu also was not at all what I was expecting. Instead of the tofu being slightly crispy, the seemed like it had been covered in a thin layer of flour and poached-- resulting in a gelatin like layer around the tofu. Not a good consistency for teriyaki sauce. The wait was also longer than expected- in part because they initially gave me the wrong item. Maybe the sushi is better here. But Inaka is definitely not the place to go for noodles or Japanese comfort food.

I do takeout here about once a month.Something about it just isn't as good as it was when they first opened, but it's still the best sushi option in the area.I always opt for the bento box combo for dinner with the miso black cod and the crabcake, brown rice, double salad (no miso soup, I'm not a fan)... $19 and change.Th cali roll is good (as good as a cali roll can get, let's be real, there are better rolls). The miso black cod is still amazing, but the portions seem to be getting smaller and smaller (which is a shame, since it's already an item that comes in a tiny portion by default). The brown rice is almost always dry, but they use a nice, nutty variety of brown rice, which is a plus.

When this place was opening in the neighborhood a while back I was fearful: would it be reliable? Would the salmon be fresh? Would it be a place I wanted to go?The answer to those questions, thankfully, is YES. I like the staff at this place very much, and it's sushi without fuss or attitude.I go for the (gluten-free) Naruto - it's salmon with avocado wrapped in cucumber (no sushi rice). Sometimes I get salmon sashimi and plain rice. Yum yum yum.

Hello, I am looking for Ms. Xu Hong, was wondering if she is still the owner of Inaka, this is Song Yinghong from Los Angeles.

Quite honestly the best sushi I've ever had. You wouldn't know it just by walking by-- it's hardly ever packed, but it really should be. The courtyard is great during the summer-- it feels like a complete escape. The 3 roll dinner deal is so much bang for your buck-- they really stuff the rolls and it always tastes so fresh. Do not get the chicken teriyaki. My friend got it and gave me a bite and it was surprisingly terrible. I get the impression that this place specializes in sushi and nothing else, and that's FINE by me.
